This week I got the creativity flowing and wrote a nonsense poem!
Edward Lear’s writings are an inspiration for me, and the discovery that I enjoy reading a bit of nonsense!
A Nonsense Rhyme
Arabellabat lived in a flat
She had a cat
And that was that.
The bat and the cat.
The flat was a mansarde
Very good, as Arabellabat loved a larder
The cat preferred the farm
and did no harm
The farmer squashed most of the rats
The unsquashed rats followed the cat
so that was that.
Arabellabat got lost in a hat
It was a “as black as your hat” kind of hat
She couldn’t see the cat
And as the cat was called midnight
it was a sight that no one could see
so that was that.
The mansarde flat was full of fat boxes
They were musty, dusty and crusty
Arabellabat was courageous
The bugs were outrageous
so that was that.

Ps. The “mansarde”
is the German translation.
Enjoy whatever you are creating this week!
