Unfortunately, because of bad weather, this event had to be postponed.

Such a shame after all the planning, but here in the UK at the coast, the wind and rain doesn’t encourage people to come out and about!

Stormy Stan , Robin the storyteller and Pauline the author will be back in the spring of 2027!

I have been a part of the RNLI’s visits team as a tour guide for the last (almost) 7 years.

My experience as a volunteer has been very rewarding; I am really enjoying meeting the great British public and beyond. Once folks understand what the RNLI does as a charity, it is not difficult to see that giving to help with the running of it enables so much good work to happen.

I always think you can see where your money goes with the RNLI.

It really does save lives at sea, and will always do whatever is possible to help those in trouble at sea.

My proposal to support the RNLI through my books had not been done before so it will be a first!

My thanks to those who helped with the planning, and I will be back next year with take 2.

If you get a chance to go and visit one of our lifeboat stations ( 238 of them), do take the opportunity: if the crew are there, they will be happy to talk to you.

My next children’s picture book, which I am presently writing, is unlikely to be ready in the Spring: watch this space! In the meantime, the books are available on Waterstones.com/Amazon

Enjoy whatever you are creating this week.
