MOLLY MOP and BUCKET StickPlayers extraordinaire
Molly Mop and Bucket met in Reggie Lemon’s Hardware store.
They both hailed from Moplandvia.
King Aqua and Queen Spongia ruled Moplandvia with an iron rod.
Whatever you did (be it good or bad) you had to learn to play with long sticks.
Molly Mop and Bucket had learned to play with the long sticks and had become masters at twizzling the sticks.
It was around the campfire, on Over The Moon, that Molly Mop and Bucket decided to get everyone into action and teach them how to play StickPlay. They had enormous fun, but not all their friends joined in!
A retro-style illustrated children’s short story, easy to read and great for together bedtime reading.
This children’s short story can be a great gift for children aged 3 to 8 years.
This is the 3rd (in a series of 6) children’s short stories.
4 are available, and the next two in the series are expected soon.
The series is called Tales From Over The Moon.
Moplandvia is somewhere on this map.
An interview with the author
Q……..
What was your inspiration for the 3rd children’s short storybook?
A……
My inspiration to transform Molly Mop and Bucket into StickPlayers extraordinaire, came from Master Shi Heng Yi, of the Shaolin Temple Europe. After watching his incredible skill with the staff and his performance of beautiful movements; I have a great respect for him.
Long sticks are an old, very functional part of life in most parts of the world.
Q………
Is there a message in the story?
A…..
I would like to think there is a message of how when you really enjoy doing something or want to learn a skill, it does take focus, daring not to heed criticism, discipline, and strength to emerge with what you want.
Often people emerge with more resilience and greater self-confidence, aside from the skills they have learned.
